Run #1612, 26th May. Solid stalwart Bunter leads us back to JR Ashiya for another lesson in trigonometry. Meet on the elevated concourse to the right of the ticker barriers (North side).

Run #126, 26th April. Dog Fucked treats us to another exploration of urban Japan, this time from deepest Kyobashi. Go for a 50 minute run then a Saturday night on the town. Meet on the concourse between the JR and Keihan stations at 6:00 pm.

Yes it's that time of the year when we run, BBQ and drink a lot of beer, all the while staring at the cherry blossoms. Join Joint Master Pollution on the banks of the Shukugawa, the loviest viewing spot in Kansai, and get on down. Change to spur line from Shukugawa station and go one stop north. Follow the arrows from Hankyu Kurakuen-guchi to our spot on the riverbank. Meet at 12 noon for a 1:00 pm run.

Run #1605, 7th April. Let's head for JR Higashi-Yodogawa this week where Dog Fucked will be hoping to leave us barking up the wrong tree once again. Meet on the west side of the station.

Run #1606, 14th April. Bird Fucker spends a rare evening out of the bird cage so watch him flutter about JR Tachibana tonight. No that isn't bird droppings, it's flour. Follow arrows to start.

Join the once-every-four-years Kansai Leap Year Time H3 at Triangle Park, Amerika-mura in Shinsaibashi at 7:00 pm for a 7:30 pm run. Says hare Al-kanida: Come down to Minami to celebrate KLYT H3 entry into the official Hash records with a trot around Shinsaibashi. Let’s see if we can freak out the weirdoes hanging at Triangle Park with our antics. This Hash happens only once every 4 years, miss it and you’ll have to wait until the year of the London Olympics to join it again.

Exit the barriers to the north side and follow signs to the north-west exit. Down the stairs and across the street to the cutsie park where we will all be swanning about.

Run #1589, 24th December. Al-kanida dons his Santa costume today and lays trail from Hankyu Rokko. Says the hare: "Why do it A to B when we can do it B to A? From Hankyu Rokko, hashers will take the bus to Chojigatsuji bus stop for a run down the hill back to the meeting place. The bus leaves at 3:20 p.m. so plan to be at the station AT LEAST 15 minutes before to drop off your bags with the hare and get on the bus. If you miss the bus, the next one is at 5:30..." As it gets dark early you might want to bring a torch.

Meet at Hankyu Juso at 2:00 pm for a Catch Hare run, followed by the circle, followed by... whatever you want. Run #1584, 17th November. Bunter stays close to home this week with a geometricians exploration of JR Tsukamoto. Exit the barriers, turn right and head for the sleazy-looking park on the right. We should be the sleaziest ones there.

Sumoto Beach. Hares: the Joint Masters.

Saturday 15th to Monday 17th September. Stay one night, stay two, or just come for a day. This is the big one. What a great way to end the summer: beer, beach, BBQ and some very scenic hashing as well. All in old world Sumoto. Bring a sleeping bag, and a tent if you have one, or go with tradition and check in at the nearby Prince Hotel. Use your wheels or take a ferry or bus to Sumoto station. From the dock or the station, walk to the far end of the beach. We'll be under the trees next to the picnic area. Meet at 2 pm.

Run #1543, 5th February. Join Slimie Limie at Hankyu Tsukaguchi, the place where hashing in Kansai began for him. Let's see what he can cook up this time.

Run #1544, 12th February. The Sam the Beaver Memorial Run will be held at JR Settsu-Motoyama, and hared by Omanko Busu, 3:30 pm meet, 4:00 pm start. We expect a big turnout for this one as hashers remember our two time Joint Master. Come along why don't you? There will be a short, walking-type course and a longer, more challenging run. Also, Yokozuna will be making his last collection for the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in Sam's name.

Run #1538, 1st January. Katch Hare from the Blarney Stone, Umeda. Meet at 1 a.m. for a 1:15 run!!! Yes, you read right, ONE A.M.! Let’s face it, rather than hashing, hounds will be busy visiting relatives and recovering from the previous night’s debauchery during the day of the 1st January and probably well into the evening, too. So, as the entire pack of hard-core KH3 hashers is likely to be in the Blarney Stone having just celebrated new year, we’ll have an early-morning A-to-A run from there! Anyone cuming from parties elsewhere, meet in the bar near the kitchen. And wake the pack (and hare) up if necessary….

Run #1539, 8th January. Al-kanida invites the KH3 to take a trip to JR Maiko for a nice afternoon trot around the Akashi bridge. Yes it is a little far, but yes we haven't been there for a long time and it is an afternoon run, so plenty of time to get there and back. Follow the arrows from the gate. Meet at 3:00, run at 3:30.

Tuesday 2nd January. Meet hashers of old, new faces and those in between from Kansai Hashes. Enka Bird of KLH3 and Al-kanida of KH3 will lay a trail, which will be followed by an izakaya On-In. Meet at 2 p.m. for a 2:30 start at Concrete (Oppai!) Park outside the north-east exit of Hankyu Sannomiya Station and across the road from the north-west exit of JR Sannomiya Station. Joint Masters Bunter and Dog Fucked are set to welcome hashers to the KH3 Christmas party! After a short trot around the locality, at 2 p.m. we go to the Irish pub Capall Uisce for a 3-hour nomihodai (as-much-as-you-can-drink--including Guinness and Kilkenny!) and choice Christmas dinner. Winter brews are here! Join Slimie Limie for a thirst-inducing trot around the Nakano-shima area. After a quick On-In at a local izakaya, the pack will retire to the best Real Ale pub in Osaka, the Beer Belly, to sample the latest brews of the A.J.I brewery. If we’re really lucky the guest beer may be Amber Ale from Nagano!

Run #1526, 2nd October. Dog Fucked revisits Hankyu Nishinomiya Kitaguchi, and this time hopefully the Hare Razor/Scribe won’t screw him over by getting the start location wrong. Meet at the (Scribe checks last Hare Line) north west exit of the station.

17th—18th September. Jump on the bus or scrounge a lift from someone taking a car and head out for two days of hashing, BBQing and beering (not necessarily in that order…) on the beach at Sumoto, Awaji island. It’s strictly Hash Time, so plan to get there around 12 midday Sunday or a little later, pitch your tent, take a swim, and the pack will take off around 3:30 pm. Don’t worry if you don’t have a tent, see Beerhead, he has loads!

Run #1523, 11th September. Al-kanida gives Hankyu Tsukaguchi another look-see. Mountains or sea, we shall see! Meet at the south exit of the station. [Mountains? Sea? Tsukaguchi? Ed.]

Run #1524, 18th September. Some (hopefully a great number of!) hashers will be not-so-fresh back from two days camping on the beach at Sumoto, Awaji. So we will have a Katch Hare from Hankyu Juso, at the usual time of 7 p.m. meeting & 7:30 start. Meet outside the east exit of the station.

Run #1525, 25th September. Freshly-named Chocolate Droppings (Ask him. It involves a bird and a sweet tooth.) offers his virgin haring, a one-way run from Hankyu Oji-Koen to the On-In at his aviary high in the mountains. Important comment from the Hare: “Look at the bunny if you like; lust after the bunny if you must; but don’t even *think* about eating the bunny!” Meet at the west exit of the station.

Run #106, 19th August. Time for another beer garden run. Join Dog Fucked at the Big Man in Hankyu Umeda station for a trot around the city followed by all you can eat, all you can drink, at Kirin World. Let's meet at 4:00 pm for an early start. That's one week and two hours early.

Run #1518, 7th August. Another Sayonara Run! Limp Rocket has got itchy feet and can’t stay in one place for very long, so he’s off to seek his fortune in the U.S. Today we run from Hankyu Juso, and a trail past that famous “music” hall is promised. Being that it’s high summer I guess the ladies will be wearing even less clothes than usual. Shame they close too early for a nijikai… Meet outside the east exit of the station.

Run #1519, 14th August. Beerhead takes us on a jaunt around Hankyu Nishinomiya-kitaguchi. Meet in the small park opposite the north west exit of the station.

Run #1520, 21st August. Al-kanida has a go at a new haring venue for him, JR Tachibana. There are some pretty parks and rivers around that area to terrorize, so let’s do our best. Meet on the second-level pedestrian walkway about 50 metres south of the south exit of the station.

Run #1521, 28th August. A Katch Hare at JR Kobe, home of the best gyoza in Japan, if not the world! Possibly your chance to get a taste of haring too! Meet next to the coin lockers opposite the supermarket inside the north west exit of the station.

Run #105, 29th July. Hares: Slimie Limie & Beerhead. Location: One-way run from Hankyu Nakatsu station (one stop from Umeda on Kobe & Takarazuka Lines) to the Yodogawa. Slimie will set a sub-50-minute trail while Beerhead gets the BBQ going on the banks of the Yodogawa. Curly arrows will be laid from the station for those too hungry (or late) to do the run!

Run #1513, 3rd July. The closest to a regular Septic (septic tank = Yank, geddit? Ed.) gracing Kobe Hash these days is buggering off to Vietnam for a holiday. In that case we’ll call on resident U.S. expert Bunter to Show & Tell all about Independence Day. Meet at the bottom of the stairs outside the south exit of JR Sumiyoshi station.

Run #1514, 10th July. Beerhead splits the difference between two favourite venues and tries his hand at Hankyu Kanzakigawa. Meet across the road opposite the east exit of the station.

Run #1515, 17th July. Meet at 12:30, start at 13:00. A national-holiday meeting specially located to suit survivors of the 2006 Japan Nash Hash! The one-way run, hared by Al-kanida from JR Tsukamoto Station to the Blarney Stone in Umeda, is followed by a two-hour all you can eat-and-drink party. Cost: 4,000 yen. Reservations (essential, NO exceptions) to Al-kanida by 15th July latest. The run will be fancy dress and because it’s Marine Day the theme is swimwear! C’mon guys, squeeze back into those crotch-enhancing speedos you bought all those years ago! C’mon girls, slip yourselves into those itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikinis! Meet in the small park across the road from the south west exit of the station.

Run #1516, 24th July. Been a while since KH3 has had a Sayonara Run. Let's make a big showing at Hankyu Oji-Koen to say sayonara to one of Kansai's pseudo-terrorists, Okama Chin Laden, before he buggers of to Hong Kong to become a secret agent. Meet outside the west exit of the station.

Run #1517, 31st July. Bird Fucker takes advantage of a rare holiday in his schedule and invites the pack for a quick flap around JR Koshienguchi. Meet outside the south exit of the station.

Run #104, 24th June. Hare: Boss Hog. Location: J.R. Fukushima station (JR Loop-line one stop from Osaka stn). Writes Boss: Go out main exit and walk east across street to the Hanshin Hotel. Meet under the modern arty thing - two yellow interlocking C-shaped sculptures?

Run #1509, 5th June. Katch Hare at JR Kobe. Been a while since the pack has sampled the delicious gyoza of Aichi-ken, so let’s put that right tonight. Meet next to the coin lockers inside the north central exit of the station.

Run #1510, 12th June. Al-kanida drops non-explosive flour around Hankyu Nishinomiya-kitaguchi. And hopefully the Hair-Razor’s directions to the start are better this time! Meet in the small park opposite the north west (not east) exit of the station.

Run #1511, 19th June. Beerhead shows the pack another way to the River Mukonoso. It’s almost summer, will we go through it? It may be rainy season, will we be washed away? Meet in the park opposite the south exit of Hankyu Mukonoso station.

Run #1512, 26th June. No-one ‘cept the regulars volunteered to hare this month, so we’ll have another Katch Hare, this time at JR Amagasaki! Meet in the park to the north east of the station.

Run #103, Saturday 27th May. Let's get back to our usual last Saturday of the month with a beer garden run! Join Beerhead at the Big Man screen at Hankyu Umeda for a trot around town then let's do that tabehodai, nomihodai thing. Let's meet at 4:00 pm this time so we have plenty of time.
Update: If you can't make the run we will be at Kirin World beer garden from 6:00 to 9:00.

Run #1504, 1st May. Dog Fucked lays (or gets humped…) from Hankyu Nishinomiya-kitaguchi The course is likely to have trees. And lamp posts. Wet ones. Cum sniff out the trail! Meet in the small park opposite the north east exit of the station.

Run #1505, 8th May. Happy Birthday Bunter! With the possibility of a house wrecking warming party at his all-new love pad abode near JR Tsukamoto Station. (Yes, Bunter’s finally fled the family nest. Yoiks!) Meet in the park to the south-west of the station.

Run #1506, 15th May. Caveman invites us to another park, this one to the north of Hankyu Mikage Station. Main station exit is on the south side. Turn left after exiting, and go about 50 metres. At the corner with the police box, turn left and cross under the tracks to the north side. Walk straight ahead a further 50 metres on the left side of the street. At the next corner go up the stairs in front of you, and you are in the park. Then the real hash trail starts…

Run #1507, 22nd May. Last month’s birthday-boy Beerhead gives the pack a tour around his stomping ground Hankyu Nakatsu. Meet in the park opposite the east exit of the station.

Run #1508, 29th May. Okama Chin Laden emerges boldly (well, sans dress) from his cave to present another video, no, to lay flour from JR Sannomiya. Meet at the flower circle (old fountain) in front of the south-west exit of the station.

Run #102, Sat May 6th, Join Ebola at Tsuruhashi station on the JR Loop Line, subway & Kintetsu lines. Meet at the JR Central Exit, under the Loop Line overpass. Meet at 6:00 pm. Writes Ebola "After the run around Tsuruhashi, we'll do on-in at the Dog House, an English/Euro style pub with most of your favourite dark beers and a typical pub menu. Yorkshire Pudding anyone? The Dog House comes complete with a dog and a cat." Let's hope Dog Fucked can make it.

Run #1500, 3rd April. Longest time served and still regularly running hasher Sukebe leads the pack around the area where it all started in 1978. Kobe has never been the same since, and is a better place for it, methinks! Meet in the car park of the Kobe Regatta & Athletic Club, about 15 minute’s walk south east of JR and Hankyu Sannomiya stations.

Run #1501, 10th April. Slimie Limie has been a lazy bar steward since his epic hare-four-hashes-in-a-month of February. Today he invites the pack to JR Tachibana. Meet on the second-story concourse to the south of the station.

Run #1502, 17th April. Al-kanida lays the chalk from JR Amagasaki. Meet at the bottom of the stairs to the south of the station.

Run #1503, 24th April. Katch Hare at Hankyu Okamoto. Who will draw the short chalk tonight? How many snarings will there be? Cum along and find out! Meet outside the south exit of the station.

Run #1497, 13th March. Go to Hankyu Oji Koen and see what Beerhead has in store for you. Meet at the west exit.

Run #1498, 20th March. Bunter returns to JR Ashiya. I can hear the rain already… Meet in the second-story park to the north of the station.

Run #1499, 27th March. Great Dane shows virgin hare Harry Potter how it’s done. Meet in the jinja (shrine) to the south of the south east exit of Hankyu Rokko station.

Run #1492, 6th February. Birthday boy Slimie Limie (it’s actually on the 8th, but he’ll accept pressies tonight) invites the pack to help him celebrate the occasion at JR Tsukamoto. All together now: “Happy BJ, fuck me, happy…” Meet in the park opposite the south exit of the station.

Run #1493, 13th February. Al-kanida checks out Hankyu Kanzakigawa. Been a while since we’ve run from this spot, oh so close to Juso… Meet across the road opposite the east exit of the station.

Run #1494, 20rd February. Bunter again takes a rest from his favourite spot to revisit JR Sumiyoshi. Meet at the bottom of the stairs outside the south exit of the station.

Run #1495, 27th February. Newly engaged and almost married (1st April, no joke! And remember, you heard it first on your Hare-line…) Beerhead leads the pack along the straight and narrow at…Las Vegas? No, it’s at Hankyu Juso. Meet by the east exit of the station.

Run #1487, 2nd January. The 2006 Shinenkai run! Hashy New Year! This year the 2nd falls on a Monday, so we'll make it a joint run with the Kobe Ladies H3, 11:00 am meeting for 11:30 start. The 2006 Joint Masters set their first run in orifice from Hankyu Kurakuenguchi. Run is followed by a BBQ. Here’s your chance to meet up with some of the old-time hashers who were running back in the 1980s! Take Hankyu Kobe line to Shukugawa then change to the two-stop Koyoen Line. Kurakuenguchi is the first stop. Meet in the park next to the river to the right of the station.

Run #1488, 9th January. National holiday so 3:00 pm meet for 3:30 start! Recent arrival (tho’ seasoned hasher) Great Dane kicks off the year in fine style with his first haring for KH3, at Hankyu Rokko. Meet in the jinja (shrine) to the south of the south-east exit of the station.

Run #1489, 16th January. Al-kanida gets himself excited at Oppai Park. Any harriettes out there care to challenge the concrete substitutes? Meet on the mounds to the north of Hankyu/JR Sannomiya station.

Run #1490, 23rd January. Beerhead takes us back to Hankyu Mukonoso. Will his legendary river crossing become easier with the Mukonoso frozen over? Meet in the park opposite the south exit of the station.

Run #1491, 30th January. Expect some hairy marking as Pollution huffs and puffs his way around Hanshin Nishinomiya. Meet in front of the exit of the station.

Run #99, January 28th. Meet JR Senrioka station (Kyoto line) at 6 pm, on the bridge just to the left of the ticket exit, where Dog Fucked will be our host.
